As part of the Mapu Product Team, we specialize in implementing data-driven solutions and models for project development, risk management, and decision-making in fields such as carbon credits, sustainable energy, agriculture, and forestry investments across Africa. To further our commitment to innovation, we're in search of a talented intern to join our team, focusing on front-end development and cloud operations.

We're excited to offer a 2-month internship opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a Front End Development & CloudOps Intern. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing projects, working on front-end development and assisting in the setup and management of our cloud infrastructure. This internship will provide hands-on experience in front-end development and cloud operations within the context of sustainable investments in Africa. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in web development, a basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, and a strong passion for making a positive impact through technology.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement the front-end components of our applications.

- Contribute to the design and development of user interfaces to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for front-end functionalities.

- Assist in setting up and managing our cloud infrastructure, leveraging technologies like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft Azure.

- Configure and deploy cloud services, databases, and storage solutions to support our applications.

- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and scalability challenges in the cloud environment.

- Work closely with team members to seamlessly integrate front-end systems with back-end components.

- Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in front-end development and cloud operations.

- Provide support for the team in other related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Recent graduates may also be considered.

- Strong foundation in web development, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React).

- Basic understanding of back-end development using programming languages such as Node.js or similar.

- Familiarity with database systems, RESTful APIs, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Interest in cloud computing concepts and exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.

- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude toward acquiring new skills and knowledge.

- Passion for sustainable investments and making a positive impact on communities in Africa.

- Languages: English and French.

- Location: Morocco, Remote.
